SAFETYSafety is our #1 priority. The fractional industry has the highest safety record within general aviation. CitationShares offers exclusively top of the line aircraft, Cessna Citations – by far, the world's most popular business jets. And, we have the youngest fleet in the industry. Our aircraft are well-maintained by seasoned, highly trained personnel. CitationShares customers enjoy a safe flying experience, as well as peace of mind. EquipmentOur Cessna Citation fleet consists entirely of new aircraft, equipped with Traffic Alert and Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) and the Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS). CitationShares aircraft also feature an electronic flight bag, making for a "paperless cockpit," and assuring accuracy of navigation and approach data with increased ease and speed. All of our aircraft undergo scheduled maintenance by the manufacturer at one of nine national Cessna Citation Service Centers. And, each of the aircraft within our fleet is ordered to exact specifications so that the cockpits are identical, maximizing pilot familiarity with the controls. Operations CenterThe team within our integrated Operations Center consists of licensed dispatchers, chief pilots, program managers and support staff – professionals who put safety first. They work together to ensure aircraft performance is met for each trip, monitor flights in progress and also track airport conditions at trip destinations to ensure landing clearance. CitationShares' proprietary flight management system enables our Operations Center team to plan and monitor our customer trips for maximum safety and comfort. PilotsCitationShares has the highest standards for pilot qualifications among all the fractional programs. All flight crew members are airline transport pilot certified, type-rated and captain-qualified. Captains are on average 43 years of age and have over 8,000 hours of flight experience. First Officers are on average 40 years of age and have over 8,000 hours of flight experience. Each is type-rated to fly one of our aircraft, and we always fly with two pilots in the cockpit. All CitationShares pilots, whether Captains or First Officers, are trained and checked to a level of proficiency required for a pilot-in-command. Their flight training consists of a course of ground and simulator instruction in the aircraft of assignment at FlightSafety International, the recognized leader in flight training. All CitationShares pilots return to FlightSafety every six months for five to seven days of recurrent flight training, and are required to complete a program of recurrent ground training annually. They are additionally trained in CPR, first aid and safety.
